Day 3 - #MatchaChallenge by Teapigs

This is my third day of the #Matchachallenge by Teapigs!

I may say that I don't feel too tired after running and jumping with my little one, maybe the matcha is really getting me more energy? Sadly my skin is as bad as always, I hope will improve a little after all! I have a wedding and I want to have a soft skin... but maybe this is asking too much...!
Today I want to share with you something easy, healthy and delicious to do with the matcha, a dressing salad! Are you one of those that doesn't eat salad because is boring or you love salad but don't know what to add to make it different?

Matcha Dressing Sauce
  • 3 teaspoons of honey
  • 5 tablespoons of oil
  • half lemon juice
  • a pitch of salt
  • a Teapigs Matcha Sachet

I love to eat salads, usually I put everything I find in the fridge with the salad mix bag you can find in the supermarket. Today my salad was with matcha (of course), a mix of salad leaves, cherries, carrots, raspberries, fried onion, pine nuts and to dress, of course the Matcha Dressing Sauce! It was healthy, tasty and a different way to enjoy the matcha!

Have you started the #matchachallenge?

Day 2 - #MatchaChallenge by Teapigs

Today is my second day in the Teapigs #Matchachallenge, and I think I am started feeling more energised, and you?

Today I will drink a "boring" Matcha Latte, but to say the truth, a matcha is never boring, the taste is quite different from the teas we are used to, but for me, the flavour is great, I never use any sugar or honey to sweeten the recipes, but not everyone love it, so, what side are you, a lover or a hater of matcha?
Matcha tea sometimes is tricky to dilute, that's why I use the milk frother to have a delicious matcha without bits!

Here is the photo of my delicious Matcha Latte, and of course while I was enjoying my delicious tea I was reading one of my new books! ;)

Pukka Fun - Interactive Colouring Book

There are a lot of interesting colouring books to entertain our kids, but when they had been painted all the interest in the book banishes... So when I was at the London Stationery Show I discovered the Pukka Fun Interactive Books, I fall in love with them at the moment!

The Pukka Fun Interactive Books have a lot of pages to colour, interesting activities for the children to learn while playing, but the most interesting part is that with your mobile or tablet they come to life (with sound included!) in front of your eyes!
I had the chance to "play" with two of these amazing interactive books, the "Baby Animals" and the "Race Day", and I think all children should have one of these amazing books at home! If you colour the illustrations, when you scan them, they come to life with the colour you choose, amazing, don't you think?

This is the perfect activity book for travelling, on a rainy day or when your little one needs a little bit of relax.

I thought that you may want to take a look at how it works, so here is the link to the Pukka Fun books that you can download some samples to try at home! The Eiffel Tower and a Triceratops. And here is the official video...!

This is a great book for this summer, it's not expensive and I am sure you and your little ones will have a lot of fun with them! Enjoy! ;)

So, today is my first challenge day, and I would share a very easy and yummy recipe, a pesto matcha sauce, to mix with your pasta or rice, it will be healthy and yummy! ;)

Pesto Matcha (for 2 persons)

6 tablespoons of oil
4 teaspoons of pine nuts
1 sachet of Teapigs Matcha
half lemon juice
Italian spices
a pitch of salt
grated parmesan
(you can add basil too, but I didn't had at home!)

You mix everything together, and mix it with the mixer, the matcha will be better diluted and the pine nuts completely crushed and add it to your favourite pasta! We mix it with boiled tagliatelle, and it was yummy!

A Perfect Manhattan Murder by Tracy Kiely - Great Escapes Blog Tour + Giveaway

A Perfect Manhattan Murder by Tracy Kiely
Genre: Cozy Mystery

Rating: 4'5/5

When the critic Dan appears dead on his apartment, all the faces turn to blame his wife, Harper. Lucky for her, her best friend Nic Martini and her husband will not stop till they discover the truth!

'Hearing our entrance, Peggy looked back and waved us over. As we approached, her gaze dropped to Skippy; seconds later, her jaw followed suit. "Dear God, is that a dog?" She asked.
Nigel put his fingers over his lips. "Yes," he said in a hushed voice, "but we haven't told hi yet. We're waiting until he's older."'

This is an hilarious and witty book, in some scenes I couldn't stop laughing, specially when the big dog Skippy was on scene! I can not wait for this couple to have a child, it will be a quite interesting baby, and his big brother will take care of them, between a couple of dry martinis, of course! ;)
I have to say that the mystery in this book is not the most important part, I loved the dialogues, characters and situations our characters are involved in, it makes the book more interesting and real.
This is the third book of the Nic & Nigel Mystery series and you can read as standalone, but after reading this one, I highly recommend you to start by the first one, you will love Nic and Nigel!
In this mystery we have so many suspects... because, really, who doesn't want to kill a critic that made a bad review of your theatre play? And if it seems that he is blackmailing some actors to have funding for his play, the suspects will grow exponentially! Everyone could be the killer, even you!
There's a plus at the end of the book, some delicious recipes to make your own cocktails at home, perfect to enjoy this weekend...
So really... who doesn't want to kill the critic? ;)

Interested? Good luck with the giveaway! ;)

A wine worth $19,000 has to be something exceptional and great, sadly, when Katie Stillwell realizes that something is not quite good with the wine, the owner appears dead... The wine was maybe a fake, but someone is ready to kill to keep the secret! Ready to learn how to enjoy a good wine?
I loved the idea that every chapter teaches you how to wine pair, it is something original and great to enjoy along with the mystery!
This is the second book of the A Sommelier Mystery series, you can read it as standalone, but if you like wines, I suggest you that you start from the first book!
This is one of those books that you have so many suspects and that everyone has something to hide that you will keep guessing till the end! Katie needs a little bit more organisation in her "sleuth" job, sometimes it's like she is not going anywhere! And I hope that she will study for her sommelier's exam, because instead of preparing herself, she prefers to discover a killer (not that I can complain about it! ;) )
I missed a little bit more romance, maybe in the next book?
This is not just a book for murder lovers but to wine lovers too!
Ready for a killer wine?

Interested? Take a chance on the giveaway!

Monster In The Closet by Karen Rose

Monster In The Closet by Karen Rose
Genre: Psychological Thriller
Source: NetGalley
Rating: 4/5

Jazzie Jarvis is only 11 years old, but she has seen who killed her mama... she will try to protect her little sister refusing to say a word... sadly the killer doesn't want to leave any loose ends and will not stop till she is dead... Ready for a cat and a mouse thriller?

"Taylor knew the child's frown was not directed at her, but almost wished it were. A perfectionist in little zebra cowboy boots, Janie was angry with herself. Angry that she'd had to be corrected by anyone. That she wasn't already perfect."

This is not the book we are used to read from Karen Rose, we know since the beginning who is the killer but this doesn't mean the book is not interesting!
I liked how Karen made a book with all the characters from the previous book of this series, it was great to remember all the characters and know how their lives had progressed (and their families grown!)
There's a lot of action in this book, a little bit of suspense and of course love! This book is more centred in feelings, emotions and family. I can not say that I didn't like it because like all the Karen Rose books it kept me glued in it since the beginning till the last page, but I was expecting a twist or a surprise that never arrived...
This book talks about family, you, as a child, should always know that your parents will protect you from any danger. The problem is, if you can not trust your parents, who is there to help a little child? I really can not imagine the feeling of being alone in the world without anyone to trust! That's why I loved the Healing Hearts project, that provide therapy to traumatized children. I hope this kind of centres really exist and that are there for everyone that needs them, not something just for the rich people!
It was sad discovering the true story of Taylor, is quite emotive but it shows us how brave she is! But I will not make any type of spoiler, so you will have to read the book!
This is a psychological thriller where the hunter will not hesitate to kill to survive.
What your are afraid of?
