My Thoughts
I can not think of anything more terrifying than waking up in a hospital and being unable to remember who you are or where you are, with the memory totally clean... That's what happens to Chloe Daniels, she doesn't remember anything at all, simply what the police and her family tell her. What had happened on the fateful night? Was she alone?
Since the first page of the book I was totally hooked on the story, who is Chloe and why her parents are so weird and don't allow her to go out? Everything seems quite strange, and that the father is trying to make therapy with Chloe to make her recover it smells really bad.
Chloe is scared to discover the truth but at the same time wants to know what really has happened, her character is brave and I liked that she didn't stay at home simply waiting for the answers to come, she started to ask the questions to know the truth, making her family start to uncovering some of the secrets they were keeping from her. She will not like what she will discover, but if she wants to recover her memory she has to know the truth, all the truth, even it if hurts.
I liked very much this book, it was quite easy to discover the truth about the case and what really happened, I suppose this is the problem of reading so many books, that you start making you own plot since the beginning, and sometimes you get it right! ;)
If you are searching for a quick read with a few twists and very addictive don't doubt to read Between the Lies, you will love it!
