Of course she will not stop to investigate till she discovers the murderer, and her mother being kidnapped just makes her more resolute to uncover the truth!

Nothing could be more dreadful or unexpected than that. Now it seemed the entire town was wondering if the two deaths -Loraine's and Susana's- were related. But how? It was difficult to connect the two."
This is the first Paula Paul book I've read, so I didn't know what to expect.
Irene is quite an affectionate woman, fights for her family and friends, she will move heaven and earth to save her loved ones, even if she has to face a gun!
I found quite exceptional that all the characters in the book try to help Irene's cause, even if they just met her for a few minutes and they are not scared of a gun! I have to move to Santa Fe, almost everyone is peaceful and helpful, sadly not everywhere is like this...
This book was a quick read, engaging, full of mystery and with touching characters, the only problem was the two bodies in the closet! Don't doubt that the new Paula Paul's Irene Seligman Mystery would be a quite interesting series, and we will learn a little bit more about fashion. Ready?
