Genre: Cozy Mystery
Source: Great Escapes
When Lucy decided to return home after being fired, she was expecting some quite peaceful days. Instead she was the main suspect a the murder she found the body, and had to accept that her parents wanted to sell their restaurant and see her first love... Maybe the hummus would bring her some good luck!
"Lucy remained in the kitchen as she struggled to make sense of what she'd learned. It was her nature to question things. Who, then, had disliked Heather enough to murder her? Lucy's thought churned. If curiosity killed the cat, what would it do to an out-of-work lawyer sticking her nose where it didn't belong?"
First of all, if you want to start reading this book bring a big hummus dish, this book will make you hummus craving! ;)
I’ve read this book in one stand, it was interesting and addictive. Even if you could guess the killer since the beginning, the motive and the way Heather was killed was a mystery till the end.
This is one of those books that you have a connection with the characters since the beginning and it makes you want to know more about them, because the restaurant seems an interesting start in a long series. And we can not forget the two charming guys Lucy will have some connection; her first love Azaz and the mysterious Michael. Who will win Lucy’s heart?
This is not just a delicious mystery book but a great read for any cozy mystery lover.
I have to thank the author for the hummus recipes at the end of the book, I’ll try to make some of them this weekend, they seem so yummy!
Ready to dip in some delicious hummus?
